🚀 Quick Start

New user? Start here! This guide will get you up and running in minutes.

Step-by-step:

Download the app from Google Play Store
Open the app and grant location permission when prompted
Select your language in settings (top right corner)
Read the intro screen to understand basic features
Start measuring PH at a location in the forest

🧪 PH Measurements

Learn how to measure and record the soil's PH value correctly.

How to do it:

Tap on the PH value (4.0-8.5) on the main screen
Select area type:
- Public area - Places everyone has access to
- Private area - Your private property or private forest
Select map mode:
- Social Maps - Visible to other users (public areas only)
- Private Maps - Only visible to you
Tap "Save PH Measurement"
Your measurement is saved with GPS coordinates and timestamp

💡 Pro Tip: Measure at multiple locations in the area to get an accurate picture of the soil's PH.

🍄 Truffle Spots

Mark locations where you have actually found truffles.

Register a find:

Tap "Save Truffle Spot" on the main screen
Select area type and map mode (same as PH measurements)
The spot is saved at your current GPS location
You can later view details in the database

🗺️ Map View

Navigate and visualize all your measurements on the map.

Use the map:

Tap the "Map" icon at the bottom of the screen
Change map type:
- Normal - Standard map view
- Satellite - Satellite images
- Hybrid - Combination of both
Markers:
- Red pins - PH measurements
- Truffle icons - Truffle spots
Tap a marker to view details
Zoom and pan with your fingers

📊 Database

Manage, edit and organize all your recordings.

Features:

Open the database via the menu icon
View all measurements - PH measurements and Truffle spots
Edit a measurement:
- Tap the "Edit" button
- Change PH value, area type or map mode
- Save changes
Delete a measurement:
- Tap the "Delete" button
- Confirm deletion
- Social measurements are also deleted from the server
Synchronization:
- ⏳ = Waiting for upload
- ❌ = Upload failed (poor coverage)
- ✓ = Synced with server
- Tap "Synchronize" to try again

⚠️ Important: If you change a measurement from "Social" to "Private", it will be deleted from the social map!

🐕 Training Areas

Create special areas for training your truffle dog.

Create training area:

Open menu → "Create Training Area"
Navigate the map to the desired area
Name the area and save
Add Truffle Spots inside the area for training
Add Marker Spots where you hide truffles yourself

💡 Pro Tip: Share your training area with others so the training can be as realistic as possible!

📵 Offline Mode

Work without internet - the app synchronizes automatically later.

How it works:

No internet? No problem! The app works fully offline
All measurements are saved locally on your device
Social Maps:
- Measurements are marked as "pending" (⏳)
- Automatically uploaded when you get internet again
If upload fails:
- The measurement is marked with ❌
- Go to the database and tap "Synchronize"
Private measurements always remain only on your device

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Social Maps and Private Maps?

Social Maps: Your measurements are shared with other users on the global map. Perfect for public areas where you want to help the community.

Private Maps: Only visible to you. Use this for your secret spots or private areas.

Can I change a measurement after I have saved it?

Yes! Go to the database, tap "Edit" on the measurement, and you can change PH value, area type and map mode. Note: If you change from Social to Private, the measurement will be deleted from the social map.

Why can't I see my Social Maps measurements on the map?

Check if the measurement has synced correctly (✓ icon in database). If there is a ❌, try to synchronize again. Also make sure you have internet connection.

How accurate is the GPS location?

Normally 3-10 meters precision depending on your device's GPS and signal strength. For best precision, wait until the GPS icon shows full strength before saving.

Can I use the app without internet?

Yes! All features work offline. Measurements for Social Maps are automatically uploaded when you get internet again.

What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?

Social Maps: Remain on the server and can be downloaded again upon reinstallation. Private data: Deleted permanently. Export important data before uninstalling!
